There has been a recent fad with dragon fruit over the last few years. It could possibly be due to its popularity on Instagram with users from all over the world. There are two types of dragon fruit, or otherwise known as Pitaya. There is one with a white inside and another with a pink inside. Centuries ago, Pitaya was first discovered in Central America. It seems that early missionaries brought the Pitaya fruit to Asia where it has since been renamed to the more commonly known "Dragon Fruit".

The dragon fruit has a pink outer layer with two different insides for fruit – it can be white with black seeds or pink with black seeds.
