Happy Tuesday for all of our lolly lovers. We understand it’s another week at home but now that kids are back in school during the day, we’re reminded of how much we’ve missed the 24/7 family time. We wanted to recommend some fun family activities to do AT HOME. Some are fun arts and crafts and others are games. We love recommending some fun activities for families to do at home together.

1. Tissue Monster

If you have empty tissue boxes lying around the house already, this is a great arts and craft idea to do with the kids. Use the extra pom-poms to "feed" the monster. Turn it into a minute-to-win-it game by seeing how many pom-poms players can toss into the monster's mouth in 60 seconds. We’re killing two birds with one stone in this activity… first part is the arts and craft and then we get to play a fun game with the monster boxes!

2. Treasure/nature hunt at home

There's all sorts of fun to be had indoors or outdoors with a treasure hunt. Give each child a bag with a list showing what they have to find - a leaf, a flower, a stick, a stone - you get the picture. You can even incentivise the kids with their favourite snack time or a prize at the end.

And if you want to stay indoors then why not hide some letters or words around the house. They can find them and then use them to make words and sentences. They won't even realise they're learning.

3. Make a calming jar

Help your kids cool down and relax with easy-to-make calming jars. All you need is hand soap, water and a handful of shiny glitter and beads to help your kids find their inner peace. Learn how to make one here.

4. Play hide and seek

A classic game for families of all sizes, playing hide and seek will be a fun way to break up the day at home and give your kids room for creativity with their hiding spots.

5. Make a bird feeder

What better spring craft is there than making a DIY bird feeder? Or try painting a birdhouse, which you can purchase online.

6. Build a fort

Any time of the year is the perfect time to build a fort. It’s great for some pretend indoor camping!

7. Get baking

Get the most out of baking with your kids. Pretend to be bakers while practicing essential skills like reading with recipes or counting with ingredients.

8. Make a time capsule

A sweet time capsule filled with special trinkets and memories is always a fun indoor activity to do with kids. Have them help decorate the box and curate which items to put in it. Learn how here.

9. Silent disco dance party

This is a GREAT idea for Friday night. Get the popcorn and headphones out and jam out together as a family in your own silent disco dance party. The best part about this dance party is that each person can listen to their own favourite music playlist! So parents… you can listen to your own favourite hits.

10. Camping experience in your garden

We have missed our weekend getaways and festivals… so why not recreate the camping experience with your family? If you have a big enough garden, we recommend doing this out back.
